We schedule a 6:30am start on most jobs so the truck is loaded before the worst of the heat, carry extra water for the crew, and build rest into the day. From November through April, the wet season can drop a full hour of tropical downpour with no warning, so we carry weatherproof shrink wrap and keep furniture blankets dry in the truck. We reschedule rather than risk your goods when a serious event is forecast.

4. Elevated Queenslanders and steep driveways

Townsville is full of raised Queenslanders and homes built into the slope, Castle Hill, Mount Louisa and the older inner suburbs like Mysterton are prime examples. That means furniture comes up and down external timber staircases on every job, often with a tight turn at the landing, and some Castle Hill driveways are too steep and winding for a large rigid.
