Condon is a quiet, family-oriented suburb on the western fringe of Townsville that has grown steadily since the early 2000s. It sits just west of Kelso and south of Thuringowa Central, with quick access to the Bruce Highway for those commuting further afield. The suburb attracts young families and first-home buyers drawn by affordable block sizes, newer housing stock and a genuine neighbourhood feel. Condon State School anchors the local community, and residents have easy access to the Willows Shopping Centre in nearby Kirwan for their weekly shop. Housing in Condon is almost entirely single-storey rendered block and brick homes built between 2000 and 2015. Blocks range from 600 to 800 square metres with typical four-bedroom, two-bathroom floor plans, double lock-up garages and covered patios at the rear. Condon is accessed via Kelso Drive from Thuringowa Central or through Rasmussen from the south. Internal streets are wide, flat and designed for modern traffic volumes with good kerb access on both sides. Cul-de-sacs and court bowls are common, and our truck can reverse right into most of them without issue. The only traffic consideration is the stretch of road between Condon and the Bruce Highway interchange at Kelso, which can slow down during afternoon peak.
