Removalists Cluden

Cluden is a small southern suburb best known as the home of the Townsville Turf Club and the Cluden Racecourse, which hosts major race days that draw crowds from across North Queensland. Outside of the racing calendar, Cluden is a quiet residential pocket with a handful of older homes, rural-residential properties and newer infill development along the Ross River. The suburb is tightly wedged between Wulguru, Stuart and the river, with a settled community that values the semi-rural feel and proximity to the city. Cluden Park and the riverside walking tracks add green space to a suburb that punches above its weight in lifestyle for its small footprint.

Cluden's housing stock is a mix of older fibro and timber homes on large lots, some with acreage feel, alongside newer brick and block builds on subdivided land. The older properties have that classic North Queensland character — high-set, front verandahs, steep stairs and roomy understorey areas. Newer homes tend to be single-level with standard three-to-four-bedroom layouts. Block sizes vary widely, from 600 square metres in the newer sections to over 2,000 square metres for the larger semi-rural lots. Race days at the Cluden Racecourse bring temporary traffic congestion to the surrounding streets, so we avoid scheduling moves on major event days.
