Bloomfield sits in a lush rainforest valley where the Bloomfield River meets the Coral Sea, accessible via the iconic — and infamous — Bloomfield Track. This 4WD-only coastal route through the Daintree is one of Queensland's most scenic but demanding roads, and it determines everything about how we plan a move to this community. Our team assesses track conditions before every job and will only proceed when the Bloomfield Track is safe for loaded vehicles.
The Bloomfield community is small and tightly connected, home to a mix of long-term rainforest dwellers, farmers and tourism operators. We have experience navigating the Bloomfield Track with appropriately sized vehicles and understand the seasonal nature of access — during the wet season, the track is regularly closed to all traffic, making dry-season scheduling essential for any move.
Because the Bloomfield Track requires a 4WD or high-clearance vehicle, we use purpose-suited vehicles for the final section of your move. Larger furniture may need to be disassembled prior to transport to fit safely along the narrow, steep track. Our team will advise you at the quoting stage on any items that need special preparation so there are no surprises on moving day.

Tips for a Smooth Bloomfield Move
Only move via the Bloomfield Track in the dry season.
The Bloomfield Track is closed or extremely dangerous during the wet season (November to April). All moves to and from Bloomfield must be scheduled between May and October when the track is passable for loaded vehicles.
Check track conditions before moving day.
Even in the dry season, the Bloomfield Track can be degraded after localised rain. We check current road conditions with local authorities before every move and will reschedule if the track is unsafe.
Disassemble large furniture before the move.
Narrow sections and tight bends on the Bloomfield Track mean oversized furniture must be broken down before transport. We will identify any items at the quoting stage that need disassembly to travel safely through the rainforest.
Allow extra time for the Bloomfield approach.
The Bloomfield Track section adds significant time to any move compared to a standard road delivery. Factor in a full day for the access journey alone and book accordingly to avoid rushing through difficult terrain.
