Property in Bli Bli is dominated by modern family homes in the Parklakes and surrounding estates, alongside older Queenslanders and acreage properties along the river and David Low Way. Bli Bli's newer estates like Parklakes have wide streets and excellent truck access, but some of the older riverside properties along the Maroochy River have narrow access roads, flood-prone ground and limited turning space. Moving Day in Bli Bli
Bli Bli is two different jobs depending on which part of the suburb you are in. The Parklakes estate and the newer developments off David Low Way are the easy ones — wide streets, double garages, flat driveways. Our truck reverses straight into the driveway and we load directly from the garage. These houses are mostly four-bedroom, two-storey builds with attached double garage. Two blokes can have a place like that packed and loaded in about four hours.
The riverside properties along the Maroochy River are a completely different story. Older Queenslanders, sometimes on stilts, with narrow gravel access roads that flood after heavy rain. We send a smaller truck for these and usually park at the closest hard surface then trolley everything down. Some of the blocks off Lefoes Road back onto the river with only one way in and one way out — our driver checks these the day before.
A lot of Bli Bli moves right now are new-build settlements. Families who have been renting in Maroochydore or Nambour while their house gets finished, then doing a full household move the day they get the keys. We coordinate with builders and do a pre-move check to make sure the house is actually ready — nothing worse than turning up with a full truck and finding the carpet bloke still working in the master bedroom.
