Daintree Village is a small, iconic tropical community on the banks of the Daintree River, surrounded by one of the world's oldest tropical rainforests. Residents here embrace a deeply rural and nature-immersed way of life, and we are experienced in the unique logistical challenges involved in relocating to and from this remote corner of Far North Queensland.
Access to Daintree Village is via the Cape Tribulation Road north of Mossman, a well-maintained but winding route that passes through dense rainforest. Our team plans every Daintree move carefully, carrying the right tools for the narrower access roads and timing travel to allow for the longer distance from our Cairns depot.
Moving to or from Daintree Village involves a 110km run from Cairns, including sections of narrow rainforest road past Mossman. During the wet season the roads north of Daintree can close entirely, but the village itself is generally accessible year-round via the sealed Cape Tribulation Road. We carry all essential equipment in the truck for the full round trip and schedule Daintree moves as full-day jobs to ensure the team is never rushed on the remote road home.

Tips for a Smooth Daintree Move
Schedule as a full-day move.
The 110km journey from Cairns to Daintree Village and back is a significant round trip. We always allocate a full day for Daintree moves — do not expect an early afternoon finish and plan your day accordingly to avoid rushing the team on the remote return journey.
Check wet season road closures.
While the main road to Daintree Village is generally accessible year-round, roads north of the village toward Cape Tribulation can close in the wet season. Confirm your access route is open before booking if you are moving from or through the rainforest north of the village.
Use the Captain Cook Highway early.
The Captain Cook Highway stretch from Cairns to Mossman is the fastest section of the Daintree run. We depart early morning to complete this stretch before tourist traffic builds, then take the rainforest roads at a safe pace to protect both your belongings and the truck.
Carry plenty of water and essentials.
Services are extremely limited between Mossman and Daintree Village. Our team comes fully self-sufficient, but if you are travelling separately on move day, bring water, snacks and a phone charger as mobile coverage can be patchy in the rainforest approaches.
