Housing in Durack consists largely of lowset brick and tile homes from the 1970s and 1980s on standard-sized blocks. There are also pockets of newer townhouse developments and some older timber cottages closer to the Inala boundary.
Durack's grid-style street layout provides good truck access, though some of the older streets have narrow verges and established trees that can limit clearance.
